  • The coverage was written by the publication's own journalists — not a press release or syndicated content
  • The articles focus substantially on you/your company — not just a passing mention in a broader story
  • The publications are recognised, editorial-standards-governed outlets — not blogs or self-publishing platforms
  • The coverage is recent enough to be verifiable online (or you have access to archived versions)
  • At least some of the coverage came without being directly solicited by you

Individual Notability

  • You have held a significant role at a notable organisation that itself has a Wikipedia page
  • Your work has been cited in academic publications or peer-reviewed research
  • You have authored published books from recognised publishers that have received independent reviews
  • You have won major industry awards covered by independent media
  • You have been a keynote speaker at major national or international conferences covered by press

Business & Organisation Notability

  • Your company has been covered in detail in major business publications (not just mentioned)
  • Your company has been included in significant industry rankings from recognised publishers
  • Your company has been the subject of substantial independent reporting — not just press release coverage
  • Your company has received notable industry awards documented by independent media
  • Your company has reached major corporate milestones documented in trade press (IPO, major acquisition, etc.)

Red Flags — Likely Not Ready Yet

  • Coverage exists primarily in press release wires (PR Newswire, Business Wire, etc.)
  • The only articles about you were written at your request or after you pitched the journalist
  • Coverage consists mainly of social media mentions, podcast appearances, or interviews on minor platforms
  • All sources are under your control — your own website, your own publications, your own channels
  • You have been featured on "Top 10" lists from websites without clear editorial standards
